We have Scyne Advisory designers Natasha Ballantyne, Head of Digital Design and Amannda Huot, Digital Service Designer, talking about “Human Centred Emergencies”. They will be sharing some of their research conducted with emergency services professionals to help us think about the future of emergency communication using trends and practices from HCD.

This presentation will share some tips and tricks for recruiting and speaking to emergency services, as well as some stories from lived experience of community members and first responders. They will unpack four key trends: Designing with the community, Building resilience for future disasters, The risk of cybersecurity and Digital experiences.

This talk is relevant to anyone working in emergency services, government or any designers applying design thinking. Come along to learn about some purpose-led design!

Natasha is an experienced conference speaker and recognised as a design leader nationally in accessibility, customer experience and digital inclusion. She leads the Digital Service Design & Experience team in Scyne Advisory and the national Scyne Inclusive Design Working Group.

Amannda is a seasoned Service Designer with a passion for shaping user-centred experiences.
