Welcome to the EUXSyd July 2019 Meetup
We are excited to announce both our speakers for our July Meetup. We have Cristian Vargas, who is a UX Lead at WooliesX talking about "How customer insights changed the way Woolworths removed single-use plastic bags." We also have both Maryam Habibullah and Naomi Holme talking about "Creating internal products at THE ICONIC."
This will be a great session with an enterprise retail focus. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 17th.
We will be at the usual spot on Level 3, 17-19 Bridge St and will have food, wine, water and beer from 6pm before we start our talks around 6:30. Look forward to seeing you all and to getting EUXSyd started in 2019...
Cristian is a UX Lead at WooliesX and he is passionate about ensuring customers insights are used to inform design decisions throughout the customer journey and finding creative way to solve complex problems.
Maryam is currently a lead product designer at THE ICONIC. She has worked on designing internal systems as well as customer facing websites and apps in a range of fields and companies such as BrickX (a property technology startup) and oOh! Media (a major Australian outdoor media company). Maryam is a big believer in learning and loves to learn from users, books, podcasts and from other designers. Outside of design, she loves reading, writing, podcasting and film-making.
Naomi designs apps and systems for THE ICONIC employees to use to do their jobs. Naomi is focused on making every interaction seamless, simple and joyful for the user, because after all, these applications will be used 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday! Naomi graduated in German and Hispanic studies and speaks 5 languages. She is a fitness freak and can be seen running, spinning, dancing and weightlifting around Sydney!
